Letter from the Scripps Quest Liaison

Chandra Dickey, Scripps

Welcome to Scripps College Quest Scholars Network page!

My name is Chandra Dickey and I’m a sophomore at beautiful Scripps College! I plan on dual majoring in Legal Studies and Gender and Women’s Studies at the best college in the world.

Scripps is a wonderful place: we have incredible professors, gorgeous dorms, and amazingly intelligent women. The support you will receive at Scripps is unlike any other college; the resources here are boundless – and if you cannot find exactly what you are looking for, the other four Claremont Colleges (Pomona, Claremont Mckenna, Pitzer, and Harvey Mudd) are right across the street to fulfill all of your wonderful needs! Scripps is the best of both worlds; we have the feel of a small school but the resources of a large university. The women who come here are challenged to do their best and charged with thinking critically about the world we live in. By the end of your four years here, you’ll be a force to be reckoned with!

At Scripps, there is no point in comparing yourself to the next student because we all have a wide range of interests and many personal pursuits. If you need somewhere to come into your own, Scripps is definitely the place. Here you will find professors that genuinely care about you and your studies.

As a rising sophomore I know how difficult the transition to college can be. Please know that your fellow Quest Scholars promise to lend a hand whenever you need it. In our Quest Chapter, we have many dinners together, watch movies, and provide a bit of extra support for when the Claremont Colleges get a little too hectic for us. We know you’ll do great.

Welcome to Scripps!
